Access control bypass via inactive DHCP interface
Published Dec 25, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Access control bypass in Stormshield Network Security allows adjacent attackers to traverse filtering rules through an inactive DHCP interface. When a filter rule references a Network object derived from a DHCP-client interface, disabling that interface changes its addresses to Any. Exploitation requires the unusual configuration of that object in a filter rule; traffic outside the intended adjacent network can then pass.
