Icon hiding via spoofed desktop trustlists
Published Jun 19, 2023 · Updated Dec 11, 2024
Improper access control in affected Huawei HarmonyOS and EMUI versions allows attackers to hide third-party app icons from the desktop. The CNA states that desktop trustlists can be spoofed, but Huawei has not published the affected function or the identity-validation error. Exploitation requires a third-party app to invoke the flaw, and icon concealment obstructs ordinary desktop-driven uninstallation.
