Repeated pop-up disruption via HwWatchHealth hijacking
Published Jun 16, 2023 · Updated Dec 17, 2024
Authentication bypass in Huawei HarmonyOS 2.0.0 allows remote attackers to hijack HwWatchHealth and trigger repeated app pop-ups. Huawei has not published how HwWatchHealth authenticates requests or which spoofed identity or input produces the hijack. Remote network access without authentication or user interaction is sufficient, and the reported consequence is limited to repeated pop-up disruption.
