CVE-2023-34151Public exploit

Process crash via unchecked dimension casts

Published May 30, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024

Integer overflow in ImageMagick before 7.1.1-11 allows local users to crash image processing via a crafted SVG or MVG file. SVG, MVG, and other image readers cast unbounded floating-point width and height values to size_t when assigning pixel dimensions. Processing a malicious file is required; the resulting undefined behavior can terminate the ImageMagick process and interrupt dependent services.
