Service interruption via TikaEncodingDetector memory exhaustion
Published Jul 5, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Resource exhaustion in TikaEncodingDetector in Apache Any23 2.7 and earlier allows remote attackers to interrupt service via crafted input. The detector consumes excessive memory while processing attacker-controlled content; Apache has not published the specific unchecked operation. No authentication or user interaction is required, and the resulting resource pressure interrupts availability of the hosting process.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
