Untrusted search path handling in Trend Micro Apex One before 14.0.0.12033 allows local users to execute arbitrary code as SYSTEM. The Apex One Client Plug-in Service Manager loads a module from an untrusted location, allowing attacker-controlled code to run with service privileges. Exploitation requires prior ability to execute low-privileged code on an affected Windows endpoint; successful execution grants SYSTEM control.
