Unauthenticated sensitive-data interception via cleartext transmission
Published Jul 18, 2023 · Updated Oct 28, 2024
Cleartext transmission in Hitachi Device Manager before 8.8.5-02 allows remote attackers to intercept sensitive information. The Server, Agent, and Host Data Collector components send sensitive information without transport protection, but Hitachi has not disclosed the protocol, data fields, or code locus. Exploitation requires unauthenticated network access plus interception conditions; the documented consequence is exposure of data in transit.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
