OS command execution via hotspot management injection
Published Jul 17, 2023 · Updated Oct 30, 2024
Command injection in Zyxel firewall firmware 4.60 through 5.36 Patch 2 allows remote attackers on the LAN to execute OS commands. Zyxel identifies hotspot management as the vulnerable locus but does not disclose the affected input, function, or failed neutralization operation. Exploitation requires an authorized administrator to add the attacker's IP address to the trusted RADIUS-client list first.
