CVE-2023-34130

Sensitive-data decryption via hardcoded legacy cipher key

Published Jul 13, 2023 · Updated Oct 30, 2024

Weak cryptography in SonicWall GMS 9.3.2-SP1 and earlier and Analytics 2.5.0.4-R7 and earlier allows attackers to decrypt sensitive data. The applications use a customized Tiny Encryption Algorithm implementation and embed its static encryption key in application source code. Source-code access reveals the key, while disclosure of a target's stored passwords or configuration secrets also requires access to its encrypted files.
