CVE-2023-34127Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Root code execution via unsanitized log search

Published Jul 13, 2023 · Updated Apr 23, 2025

OS command injection in SonicWall GMS 9.3.2-SP1 and earlier and Analytics 2.5.0.4-R7 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute code as root. The log-file search function passes user-supplied search parameters to an operating-system command without sanitizing shell metacharacters. Administrative application access is required; successful injection grants root control of the underlying host, including persistent payload installation.
