Arbitrary file read via path traversal
Published Jul 13, 2023 · Updated Nov 5, 2024
Path traversal in SonicWall GMS 9.3.2-SP1 and earlier and Analytics 2.5.0.4-R7 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read arbitrary files. SonicWall has not disclosed the affected web service endpoint or the exact pathname validation failure. Successful exploitation requires authenticated network access and exposes files readable by the root-privileged service, without reported write or execution capability.
