CVE-2023-34124Network attack vector

Unauthenticated Web Services access via non-secret digest

Published Jul 13, 2023 · Updated Apr 8, 2025

Authentication bypass in SonicWall GMS 9.3.2-SP1 and earlier and Analytics 2.5.0.4-R7 and earlier allows remote attackers to access Web Services. The /ws application builds HTTP digest authentication from a non-secret value that remote attackers can supply to generate valid authentication codes. No credentials or user interaction are required, and successful bypass permits arbitrary Web Service method calls, including methods implicated in host compromise when chained with separate flaws.
