Stored XSS via unsanitized HTML field rendering
Published Jun 5, 2023 · Updated Jan 8, 2025
Stored XSS in Avo 2.33.2 and earlier and 3.0.0.pre1 through 3.0.0.pre12 allows remote authenticated users to run scripts. Affected ERB templates use raw-output tags for Trix values, messages, help text, and HTML headings without sanitizing attacker-controlled markup. Form-edit privileges permit persistence, and another user must view the affected content for script execution in that user's browser.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
