Unauthenticated data disclosure via unrestricted meeting filters
Published Jul 11, 2023 · Updated Oct 23, 2024
Information disclosure in Decidim 0.27.0 through 0.27.2 allows remote attackers to infer non-public database values through meeting filters. CalendarsController passes the user-controlled filter parameter through CalendarRenderer to ComponentCalendar, where Ransack evaluates unrestricted attributes and associations as a response oracle. The meetings component must be enabled and contain at least one meeting; repeated starts-with predicates disclose values such as participant email addresses character by character.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
