Settings reset via missing nonce validation
Published Aug 17, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Cross-site request forgery in Bricks Builder 1.8.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to reset theme settings via a forged request. The reset_settings function accepts the state-changing request without correctly validating a WordPress nonce. Exploitation requires a site administrator to follow an attacker-controlled link or perform an equivalent action, and the reported consequence is limited to resetting the theme configuration.
