Root code execution via trusted-node IP spoofing

Authentication bypass in VMware Cloud Foundation Operations for Logs 4.x and 5.x allows remote attackers to execute code as root. The Thrift-port firewall trusts source IP addresses, so a host spoofing a worker can invoke RPCs that extract a crafted PAK into arbitrary paths. Reachability requires a multi-node cluster and a compromised same-network host able to assume a worker address; the demonstrated chain creates a root shell.
