Hypermedia link manipulation via untrusted forwarded headers

Header injection in VMware Spring HATEOAS 1.5.0 through 1.5.4, 2.0.0 through 2.0.4, and 2.1.0 lets remote attackers alter generated links. In WebFlux applications, hypermedia link generation consumes client-controlled Forwarded and X-Forwarded headers when constructing response URLs. Exploitation requires a hypermedia endpoint and infrastructure that neither validates nor discards those headers; the resulting impact is confined to links returned in responses.
