Plugin page creation via missing nonce validation
Published Nov 9, 2023 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Cross-site request forgery in LWS Hide Login 2.1.6 and earlier allows remote attackers to create plugin settings pages. The lws_hl_create_page() and lws_hl_create_page_network() functions accept state-changing requests without validating a nonce. Exploitation requires an authenticated administrator to submit a forged request, resulting in unauthorized plugin page creation.
