Subscriber-level pageview deletion via missing capability check
Published Dec 13, 2024 · Updated Apr 29, 2026
Missing authorization in VeronaLabs SlimStat Analytics 5.0.5.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to delete pageviews. The delete_pageview function processes deletion requests without checking the caller’s WordPress capability, so subscriber accounts can remove stored analytics records. Subscriber-level access is required, and the demonstrated consequence is deletion of pageview data rather than broader site control.
