CVE-2023-33991Network attack vector

Stored XSS via underencoded server-returned input

Published Jun 13, 2023 · Updated Jan 3, 2025

Stored XSS in affected SAPUI5 Variant Management releases allows remote authenticated users to execute script in another user’s browser. Variant Management insufficiently encodes user-controlled values when reading them from the server, so stored data is rendered as executable browser content. User-level access and victim interaction are required; execution can expose data, modify information, and interrupt the application for that user.
