Stored XSS via incorrect versioned-file content type
Published Jun 13, 2023 · Updated Jan 3, 2025
Stored cross-site scripting in SAP NetWeaver Design Time Repository 7.50 allows remote authenticated users to run script via a versioned file. DTR serves some attacker-created versioned files with an incorrect content type, causing a browser to interpret malicious file content in the repository's origin. Exploitation requires repository write access and a victim to follow the supplied link, enabling script-driven access to data and actions available in that browser session.
