Authenticated configuration disclosure via unrestricted Gradio file route
Published May 31, 2023 · Updated Jan 9, 2025
Information disclosure in GPT Academic 3.36 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read sensitive configuration files via /file. The Gradio launch in main.py exposes working-directory files because it omits blocked_paths for config.py, config_private.py, docker-compose.yml, and Dockerfile. A valid application login is required, and exposure is limited to deployments that keep sensitive values in those files.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
