Cross-instance object definition disclosure via unscoped search
Published May 24, 2023 · Updated Oct 22, 2024
Improper access control in Liferay Portal and DXP 7.4 allows remote authenticated users to view another virtual instance's object definitions. The Object module's search does not constrain object-definition results to the requester's virtual instance, so a query returns definitions belonging to a different instance. Exploitation requires an authenticated account on one virtual instance and exposes object-definition metadata from another without reported modification or service interruption.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
