Cross-instance object disclosure via faulty OAuth scope isolation
Published May 24, 2023 · Updated Oct 22, 2024
Improper access control in Liferay Portal and DXP 7.4 allows remote authenticated users to view objects from another virtual instance. The Object module fails to isolate object visibility by virtual instance when the OAuth 2 scope administration page enumerates objects. A remote authenticated user with administration-page access in one virtual instance can read, but not modify, objects belonging to another instance.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
