Stored XSS via unneutralized facet labels
Published May 24, 2023 · Updated Oct 22, 2024
Stored cross-site scripting in Liferay Portal 7.1.0 through 7.4.3.12 and affected Liferay DXP 7.x releases allows remote attackers to inject script. The Modified Facet widget accepts a crafted facet label and renders its embedded HTML or JavaScript without neutralizing the markup. An authenticated user must store the label, and the payload executes when another user views the affected facet.
