Stored script execution via unsanitized form name
Published May 24, 2023 · Updated Oct 22, 2024
Stored XSS in Liferay Portal and Liferay DXP Form configuration allows remote attackers to inject script through a form name. The Form widget stores a crafted name value and renders it without neutralizing executable HTML or script. An authenticated user able to configure a form can persist the payload, and another user must view the affected configuration for code to run in that user's browser.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
