Privileged code execution via unsafe Twig callbacks
Published Jun 23, 2023 · Updated Nov 7, 2024
Code injection in FOSSBilling before 0.5.1 allows remote authenticated users with administrator privileges to execute arbitrary code. TwigExtensions exposes the filter, map, reduce, and sort filters to attacker-selected non-Closure PHP callbacks rather than limiting callbacks to closures. Administrator access and a crafted Twig template are required; successful exploitation can read or alter application data and execute system commands.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
