CVE-2023-33919Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Root code execution via packet-capture script injection

Published Jun 13, 2023 · Updated Nov 3, 2025

Command injection in Siemens SICAM A8000 CP-8031 and CP-8050 before CPCI85 V05 allows remote authenticated users to execute root code. SICAM WEB writes the LAN port group value unsanitized into /tmp/incws_tcpdump.sh and executes it through a root shell when tracing starts. Privileged SICAM WEB access is required; a crafted line break adds a command to the generated capture script, granting complete device control.
