CVE-2023-3388Known exploitationNetwork attack vector

Unauthenticated stored XSS via banner link

Published Jun 24, 2023 · Updated Apr 8, 2026

Stored cross-site scripting in Beautiful Cookie Consent Banner 2.10.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute scripts via crafted banner links. The nsc_bar_content_href parameter accepts insufficiently sanitized input and outputs it without adequate escaping, allowing script code to persist in pages rendered by the plugin. Exploitation requires only an unauthenticated request that stores the payload and a user visiting the affected page; resulting script execution can read or alter browser-accessible page data.
