Script execution via reflected week parameter
Published Jun 2, 2023 · Updated Jan 8, 2025
Reflected XSS in eMedia Consulting simpleRedak 2.47.23.05 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute script via a crafted link. The scheduler's index.php reflects the week query parameter into an HTML attribute without sufficient filtering, so a double quote breaks out of the value and injects HTML. A victim must follow the attacker's link; successful exploitation runs injected JavaScript in that victim's browser context, allowing page data access or modification.
