CVE-2023-33759Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authentication bypass via unrestricted SSL Gateway login retries

Published Jan 25, 2024 · Updated May 30, 2025

Authentication brute forcing in SpliceCom Maximiser Soft PBX 1.5 and earlier allows remote attackers to access PBX user accounts. The SSL Gateway keeps its TLS socket open after a failed LOGIN command and accepts immediate retries without rate limiting. A reachable gateway, a known extension, and a valid Firebase push token expose short numeric passcodes to rapid guessing and successful account login.
