CVE-2023-33757Network attack vector

Communication eavesdropping via missing certificate validation

Published Jan 25, 2024 · Updated Jun 20, 2025

Improper certificate validation in Splicecom iPCS and iPCS2 mobile apps allows man-in-the-middle attackers to read communications. The apps perform neither certificate-chain trust validation nor server-name matching, so an interception proxy can impersonate the SSL Gateway and expose cleartext credentials carried inside the TLS session. The attacker must intercept the client-to-gateway network path; the disclosed impact is limited to communication and credential confidentiality.
