Database command execution via unneutralized keywords parameter
Published May 30, 2023 · Updated Jan 13, 2025
SQL injection in BlueCMS 1.6 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary database commands through the keywords parameter in search.php. The search endpoint incorporates attacker-controlled keywords into an SQL command without adequately neutralizing SQL syntax, causing data to be interpreted as query directives. No authentication or user interaction is required, and successful injection can read or alter database data or interrupt service.
