Browser code execution via unneutralized policy parameters
Published May 31, 2023 · Updated Jan 10, 2025
Cross-site scripting in Microworld Technologies eScan management console 14.0.1400.2281 allows remote attackers to execute browser code. The New Policy form places the type, txtPolicyType, and Deletefileval parameters into generated page output without neutralizing script content. Exploitation requires a console user to interact with the crafted output; successful script execution can read or alter data available to that user's browser session.
