Authenticated object injection via imported-file deserialization
Published Sep 2, 2026 · Updated Sep 2, 2026
PHP object injection in Weaver Show Posts before 1.8.1 allows remote authenticated users to instantiate PHP objects via a crafted import file. The import path deserializes attacker-controlled file content, reconstructing objects instead of treating the imported content solely as data. High-privilege access and a suitable gadget chain on the WordPress site are required, limiting the consequence to gadget behavior available there.
