Administrator-browser script execution via unencoded login logs
Published May 23, 2023 · Updated Jan 31, 2025
Stored cross-site scripting in icret EasyImages2.0 2.8.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute JavaScript in an administrator's browser. The login page writes the unfiltered user parameter into a log, and app/viewlog.php renders that content without output encoding. Exploitation requires an administrator to view the login log, allowing attacker-supplied script to run in that authenticated browser context.
