Database access via injectable contact phone field
Published Jun 28, 2023 · Updated Nov 27, 2024
SQL injection in Lost and Found Information System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to query its MySQL database through a crafted POST. The update_settings handler processes the phone multipart field without neutralizing SQL syntax, enabling time-based blind injection through a SLEEP expression. A valid management session is required to reach contact-information updates; the published exploit disclosed the current database name.
