Stored script execution via query-screen input
Published Jun 14, 2023 · Updated Jan 6, 2025
Stored XSS in SoftExpert Excellence Suite 2.1.9 allows remote authenticated users to run scripts in another user's browser via query screens. A query-screen data input form stores attacker-supplied script content and serves it without safe output encoding when other users open the affected page. An attacker requires application access and a victim to view the stored entry; the script runs in the victim's session and can read or alter browser-accessible data.
