Unauthenticated code execution via unrestricted wallpaper upload
Published May 31, 2023 · Updated Jan 10, 2025
Unrestricted file upload in KramerAV VIA GO² before 4.0.1.1326 allows remote attackers to execute code through a crafted upload. The unauthenticated UploadWallpaper.php handler accepts a file from the data form field without restricting its extension or contents and stores it under the web-accessible uploads/large path. Requesting an uploaded PHP file causes the web server to execute attacker-supplied commands, enabling complete device compromise without credentials.
