Unauthenticated device control via exposed confirmation code
Published Aug 9, 2023 · Updated Jul 9, 2026
Incorrect authorization in Kramer Electronics VIA Connect² and VIA GO² before 4.0.1.1326 allows remote attackers to control devices via a room code. The confirmation-code retrieval path discloses the current room code remotely instead of restricting it to the attached display. No credentials or user interaction are required; the exposed code bypasses the physical-screen check and permits remote session control.
