Student email disclosure via unauthorized users endpoint
Published Jul 31, 2023 · Updated Aug 30, 2024
Incorrect authorization in ThemeGrill Masteriyo LMS before 1.6.8 allows remote authenticated users to read other students' email addresses. The /masteriyo/v1/users REST route returns the user collection to any student account without enforcing authorization for other students' records. A valid student login is required, and the demonstrated consequence is disclosure of email addresses rather than modification of LMS data.
