Authenticated PHP object injection via profile-picture deserialization
Published Jul 13, 2023 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
PHP object injection in WPEverest User Registration & Membership 3.0.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject PHP objects. Profile-picture handling passes the attacker-controlled profile-pic-url value to PHP deserialization without restricting instantiated classes. Subscriber-level access is required; the plugin has no POP chain, so file deletion, data disclosure, or code execution requires a gadget chain from another installed plugin or theme.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
