Code execution via unsanitized CSV customer name
Published Jun 5, 2023 · Updated Jan 8, 2025
CSV injection in the Minical Accounting module 1.0.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute code through exported reports. The Customer Name value is written into a CSV field without neutralizing a leading spreadsheet formula marker, causing spreadsheet software to evaluate attacker-supplied content. Exploitation requires customer-creation access and spreadsheet processing of the report; the published proof of concept also requires activation of its rendered hyperlink.
