CVE-2023-33379Network attack vector

Remote command issuance via unrestricted MQTT publishing

Published Aug 4, 2023 · Updated Oct 17, 2024

Authorization failure in Connected IO 2.1.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to issue commands to managed routers through MQTT. The internet-facing broker lets shared device credentials publish to every device-receive topic rather than restricting those topics to the cloud management platform. Access requires the shared broker credentials and target IMEIs; successful messages impersonate management and can change router configuration.
