Argument injection in ConnectedIO ER2000 2.1.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary OS commands via its protocol. The protocol handler passes untrusted fields from an iptables command message as command-line arguments without neutralizing argument delimiters. Network access to the device protocol is the only published gate, and successful exploitation executes commands on the router.
