Stack-based buffer overflow in ConnectedIO ER2000 firmware 2.1.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to take control via a crafted MQTT command. The cioClient binary splits comma-delimited MQTT payloads into command parameters, but Claroty has not disclosed the affected field or unchecked copy operation. Exploitation requires publishing a malicious device-receive message through the cloud MQTT broker; successful exploitation executes code on the router.
