Authenticated database query execution via unfiltered album identifier
Published May 23, 2023 · Updated Jan 31, 2025
SQL injection in Piwigo 13.6.0 permalink administration allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary database queries. The set_cat_permalink() path passes the attacker-controlled cat_id album identifier directly into an SQL statement without filtering or parameterization. Administrative access and an existing album are required; successful exploitation permits database reads, writes, or service interruption within the database account's privileges.
