Stored script execution via unneutralized circle content
Published May 25, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Stored cross-site scripting in IceCMS 1.0.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript in a visitor's browser. The /Websquare/create/circle API accepts an HTML image payload with an onerror handler for planet-circle content and later renders it without neutralization. A low-privileged account and a victim who views the stored content are required; resulting script execution is confined to the victim's IceCMS origin.
