Improper certificate validation in Cohesity DataPlatform before 6.8.1_u5 or 7.1 allows remote attackers to obtain confidential data. Cohesity agents and clusters rely on static TLS certificates without properly validating peer certificates, causing an untrusted endpoint to be accepted. Exploitation requires cluster network access from a privileged network position and permits interception of confidential data.
