Service hang via inefficient URL regex evaluation

Regular expression denial of service in git-url-parse 0.4.4 and earlier allows remote attackers to hang a service with a crafted URL. The normalize_url function in src/lib.rs evaluates broad non-whitespace repetitions around the at-sign and colon in untrusted URL text, consuming excessive CPU. Exploitation requires a consuming application to pass attacker-controlled repository URLs to the crate, and the resulting availability impact is limited to that application process.
